Ours vies with Region 8 as the most competitive region in Class AAAAA (the largest) high schools in Georgia. Three of our region's teams -- Pope (#4), Walton (#9) and Lassiter (#10) -- finished the 2000 season in the top 10 in Georgia. Three more -- Cherokee (#11), Centennial (#15) and Milton (#16) -- finished in the top 20.
