A varsity cross-country team is made up of seven runners. Therefore, the Woodstock cross-country lettering system goes as follows. You will receive a varsity letter if you either:
Finish in the top seven Woodstock runners at the championships.
Finish in the top seven Woodstock runners in all but three of the scheduled cross-country meets attended by the Woodstock team.
You will receive a JV letter if you:
Compete at the county championships and compete in all but three of the scheduled cross-country meets attended by the Woodstock team.
Failure to meet the requirements necessary to benefit yourself and the Woodstock cross-country team, such as poor attendance and effort, may results in removal from the team and a loss of letter. I am more than fair, but reserve this right with any athlete.
